Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) is a preventable disease, which is rapidly becoming a growing public health problem in Europe and other parts of the world. So far no causal treatment is known but a very efficient and well-tolerated vaccination is available for protection against the disease.

Opinion poll for Travel Medicine
Travel doctors from the whole world met in Lisbon in May. 362 expressed their opinion on TBE (FSME), among them 239 European experts. 84 % of Europeans stated that - so far - too few vaccinations against TBE (FSME) have been administered; in future they aim to protect their patients better.
